I watch her face light up as the fireworks go off in the distance. She smiles and covers her ears. I know she’s not so fond of the
sound, but oh how she loves the sparkles!
More! More! Mama! Please?
I can’t promise her more…we only watch…she runs around, and I light a sparkler. I watch her ooh over it. She wants to touch it, but she’s afraid of it. The sparks! The light! So powerful! She giggles as she pulls back her hands and tells me to do it!
Oh Betsy…You are more than ready for summer and all that it brings. You are an all American girl! No matter where you end up, you take some of that goodness with you…summer corn on the cob, fireworks, catching fireflies at night, swimming in the ocean, all of it!
Betsy is an 18 inch Finn and Fern. She is triple stitched for durability and stuffed with clean carded wool. Her hair is wefted mohair. She has dimpled knees, a belly button, and a bum as well!
She wears a blue eyelet halter dress and blue striped seersucker striped bloomers. She asked for a headband to complete her stars and stripes so I knitted one for her, with a felted star upon it. She comes to you wearing red maryjane shoes with blue flower details. What sweet girl wouldn’t be complete without ribbons in her hair?

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek! Betsy will be available Monday night at The Enchanted Toybox. She will be up for sale at 7 pm. Don't be late!
